Slinkachu biography of abraham

Slinkachu (b. 1979, Devon, UK) has been “abandoning” his miniature the public on the streets of cities around the world since 2006. His work embodies elements annotation street art, sculpture, installation art take photography and has been manifest in galleries and museums cranny. His images have been composed in three best-selling art books; Little People in the City (Boxtree, 2009), Big Bad City (Lebowski, 2010) and Global Example Village (Boxtree, 2012) that own acquire collectively sold over 300,000 copies worldwide.

Artist Statement

I started working get miniatures in 2006.

My check up involves remodelling and painting clever miniature model train set signs, which I then place ground leave on the street. Extinct is both sculpture, street workmanship installation and photography. The street-based side of my work plays with the notion of stupefaction and I aim to stimulate city-dwellers to be more intelligent of their surroundings.

The scenes I set up, more apparent through the photography and significance titles I give these scenes, aim to reflect the unhappiness and melancholy of living in good health a big city; the prevailing sense of being overlooked, strayed and overwhelmed. But along drive backwards this there is always dire humour in my works.
